Summer Tech Camps 2026

Summer 2026 Information

Hours: 9:00 AM–4:00 PM.

Drop-off begins at 8:45 AM. Optional After Care (late pick-up) is available until 5:00 PM. Campers may register for morning sessions (9:00–12:00), afternoon sessions (1:00–4:00), or full day (9:00–4:00). Campers registered for the full-day option should bring a lunch to eat in the classroom.

Ages: Camps are offered for children ages 6–12.

Some weeks campers may be separated by age depending on course content and enrollment numbers. Children ages 3–5 can participate in our camps at Discovery Child Development Center.

Tuition:

  • Early Bird (through May 1): $330 full day, $205 half day (per week)
  • Regular Price: $345 full day, $215 half day (per week)
  • Multi-week discount (stacks with Early Bird or Regular): When registering for more than one week at a time, each additional week is $310 full day or $195 half day
  • After Care (4:00–5:00 PM): $40 per week

June 22–26

AM:Minecraft Makers (Education Edition)
PM:Stop Motion Studio
Details

Minecraft Makers (Education Edition): Build creative worlds while learning teamwork, planning, and simple STEM challenges in Minecraft Education. Campers will design and showcase their builds with photos and short reflections.

Stop Motion Studio: Create stop-motion movies using LEGO and everyday materials. Campers learn storyboarding, camera angles, and simple editing to produce short films.

AM:Stop Motion Studio + 3D Printing
PM:Roblox Obby Builders
Details

Stop Motion Studio + 3D Printing: Create stop-motion films and design custom 3D-printed props to enhance your story. Campers learn storytelling, filming, editing, and the basics of 3D design and printing.

Roblox Obby Builders: Design and build your own Roblox obstacle-course game with checkpoints, moving platforms, and creative themes. Campers playtest, improve, and share their finished obby.

July 6–10

AM:Pokémon Tech Lab
PM:LEGO Robotics (SPIKE)
Details

Pokémon Tech Lab: Explore Pokémon-themed design challenges that build logic, creativity, and problem-solving. Campers create games, art, and mini projects inspired by Pokémon (no battling required).

LEGO Robotics (SPIKE): Build and program LEGO robots to complete fun missions. Campers learn basic coding concepts like sequences, loops, and sensors through hands-on challenges.

AM:AI Explorers
PM:Website Creator
Details

AI Explorers: Learn what AI is (and isn’t) through hands-on, age-appropriate projects. Campers practice prompting, checking accuracy, and creating responsible AI-assisted content.

Website Creator: Build your own website with pages, images, buttons, and embedded content. Campers learn layout, design, and how to create a polished site they can share with family.

July 13–17

Ages 6–9

AM:Robotics Olympics

Races, obstacle courses, and engineering challenges

PM:Jr. Coding with Scratch
Details

Robotics Olympics: Compete in friendly robotics events such as races, accuracy challenges, and obstacle courses. Campers design, test, improve, and celebrate teamwork through “Olympic-style” events.

Jr. Coding with Scratch: Learn coding fundamentals through block-based programming in Scratch. Campers build interactive stories and simple games while practicing problem-solving and persistence.

Ages 9–12

AM:Video Game Design
PM:Robotics Olympics

Races, obstacle courses, and engineering challenges

Details

Video Game Design: Plan, build, and refine original games with stronger systems and more advanced mechanics. Campers focus on game balance, feedback, and iterative improvement.

Robotics Olympics: Train and compete in robotics events focused on speed, accuracy, and reliability. Campers develop designs, test programs, and learn teamwork through friendly competitions.

AM:Special Effects Movie Making
PM:Makey Makey Inventions
Details

Special Effects Movie Making: Make movie magic with green screen, visual effects, and creative filming techniques. Campers plan, film, and edit short videos with fun effects and sound.

Makey Makey Inventions: Turn everyday objects into touch controls using Makey Makey. Campers invent interactive projects and learn how circuits and inputs work in a playful way.

AM:Inventors Lab: micro:bit + Makey Makey Week
PM:Game Design with Scratch
Details

Inventors Lab: micro:bit + Makey Makey Week: Invent interactive gadgets and games using micro:bit and Makey Makey. Campers explore sensors, inputs, and simple circuits while building creative inventions.

Game Design with Scratch: Create more advanced Scratch games using variables, scoring, and multiple levels. Campers practice debugging, user testing, and improving gameplay.

July 27–31

AM:LEGO Stop Motion + 3D Printing
PM:Minecraft Engineering (Education Edition)
Details

LEGO Stop Motion + 3D Printing: Create stop-motion films with LEGO and add custom 3D-printed props. Campers design simple models, learn how 3D printing works, and bring their stories to life.

Minecraft Engineering (Education Edition): Take Minecraft to the next level with STEM-style building and redstone systems. Campers complete guided “engineering” missions and learn to plan, build, test, and improve.

AM:Roblox Adventure Quest Studio
PM:LEGO Stop Motion + 3D Printing
Details

Roblox Adventure Quest Studio: Design an adventure-style Roblox game with quests, collectibles, unlockable areas, and simple story elements. Campers build a world, add objectives, and playtest for a smooth player experience.

LEGO Stop Motion + 3D Printing: Create stop-motion films and enhance them with custom 3D-printed pieces and props. Campers focus on storytelling, effects, editing, and design.

Week 6
August 3–7

AM:Video Game Design
PM:Claymation
Details

Video Game Design: Design and build original games using age-appropriate tools and templates. Campers learn game rules, levels, and player feedback through playtesting and iteration.

Claymation: Create clay characters and bring them to life with stop-motion animation. Campers learn sculpting basics, movement techniques, and simple editing to produce a short clay film.

Ages 9–12

PM:YouTube Creator Studio
Details

Claymation: Create more detailed clay characters and scenes, then animate them using stop motion. Campers focus on storytelling, smooth movement, and editing for a polished final film.

YouTube Creator Studio: Plan, film, and edit short videos while learning creator skills like scripting, thumbnails, and responsible sharing. Campers produce a finished video and a mini “creator portfolio” to showcase their work.

Week 7
August 10–14

Ages 6–12

AM:Inventors Lab: micro:bit Week
PM:Minecraft Building Challenges (Education Edition)
Details

Inventors Lab: micro:bit Week: Create small inventions using micro:bit, including games, sensors, and interactive gadgets. Campers build, test, and improve projects they can demonstrate at home.

Minecraft Building Challenges (Education Edition): Complete fun Minecraft build challenges with themes, constraints, and teamwork goals. Campers practice planning and creativity and share their favorite builds at the end of the week.

Ages 6–12

Same sessions for all campers this week.

Device note: We use a mix of iPads and computers depending on the camp; all activities are guided and age-appropriate.
