Track-Out and Summer Camps
We currently offer track-out and summer programs for students in grades 2-6 . Our camps focus on 21st century skills in a fun environment. In the morning, we offer week-long technology classes. Each week consists of a different theme from movie making to web design. Courses are taught by certified public school teachers and students are provided with their own computer to use. We limit classes to 12 students and maintain a student-teacher ratio of 6:1. Our small classes allow us to differentiate instruction to meet student needs. During the week students create several projects and parents can monitor progress through our class wiki. Click to see examples of student work.
After lunch, students participate in our writing program. The writing program includes topics such as Writing Fiction and Writing to Make a Difference. The writing program is designed to demonstrate to students that writing can be fun and something they can have success with. The curriculum is hands-on and students participate in activities such as playwriting, blogging, game creation, and art activities. Students also receive breaks during the day where they have snacks and participate in activities such as ping-pong, board games, and nok-hockey. Read what our students are saying about our track-out.
Camp Hours: 9 A.M. to 4 P.M.
Tuition: $255 Full Day, $155 Half Day per week. Multiple week and sibling discounts available.

The Gifted and Talented Program at Discovery Tech was designed to offer additional challenges for students who are performing above grade level for grades 1-6. Our center allows them the opportunity to participate in small classes on topics that are both engaging and challenging. Each course consists of research-based curriculum that incorporates critical thinking, problem solving and technology. Our classes will both challenge and motivate students. Since our classes are small, we can differentiate instruction to meet the unique needs of all children and help them reach their great potential. In addition, your child will receive instruction from a teacher trained in best practices for teaching gifted and talented children.
